Mike Doughty, a fifth-generation Vancouver Islander, has been immersed in island life since day one. Growing up in Port Alberni and Ucluelet, his roots run deep on the West Coast. Moving to Victoria was a natural step, drawn by the lifestyle — parks, beaches, local pubs, a great food scene, and strong community connections.
As his two daughters spread their wings, Mike settled on the South Island, where he enjoys spending time outdoors mountain biking, skiing (both snow and water), hiking local trails, and making the most of everything the Island has to offer.
When he’s not working, you’ll often find Mike at Shawnigan Lake in the summer or out exploring trails with his wife and their two dogs — a Havanese and a toy poodle — when the weather cools.
